At a major water treatment plant in London, Elemy was tasked with a unique challenge: designing and delivering an access platform that could safely span several bunded zones. Bunds are crucial in such facilities as they act as containment barriers in the event of chemical spills. The project demanded not just structural strength and durability, but also precise spatial planning and a zero-compromise approach to safety.

This platform became a milestone for Elemy; it was one of the first substantial GRP structures designed and built at the company’s new Warrenby fabrication facility. The project involved a full in-house design and build package, reflecting the capabilities of the team in both technical and logistical execution.

The bespoke GRP platform was fabricated to exacting standards, combining corrosion resistance with a lightweight profile, making it easy to install and future-proof against the harsh environment.
